A Bit About Me
My name is Hugo Moebel. I am a first-generation American and the first in my family to pursue a career in medicine. I entered college with a passion to become a doctor, but little direction. My freshman year was filled with trial and error; I often felt lost and unsure of where to turn. It was only through seeking help from upperclassmen, mentors, and countless late nights learning how to navigate the pre-med path that I began to find my footing. I finished my freshman year with a 3.0 GPA, but I refused to let that define me. Through hard work, better study habits, and a support system I built myself, I raised my GPA to a final 3.75, with a 3.96 average from sophomore to senior year. Pre-Med Bridge was born from this experience, a program created to provide the kind of guidance and encouragement I once had to search for on my own. I want students who feel like I did to know they are not alone and that with the proper support, they can succeed.

I was accepted to Texas A&M, Baylor, and the University of Arkansas, and began my college career at Texas A&M with a major in Biology and a minor in Business.
Mentored two Pre-Med college freshmen and found my love for mentoring and for telling others my own mistakes so that they can hopefully avoid them
I graduated Magna Cum Laude after a rough Freshman year, and I am currently applying to medical school. Throughout this process, I founded two nonprofit organizations, Next Tee Lubbock and Pre-Med Bridge, to give back to my community and provide free mentorship opportunities to those who might not otherwise have access to costly resources.
